With over 25 years of culinary and hospitality experience, Gil and Janet Roberge decided to create a company that would complement their knowledge and passion for food and wine. And so, Zest Catering came to life.
Chef Gil’s knowledge of food began at an early age watching his mother create authentic French meals for their family. Having worked in fine dining establishments in Ottawa, B.C. and Niagara, Gil’s approach is that of using local, seasonal ingredients combined with a creative exploration of ethnic cuisine. As an award winning sommelier, the transition of pairing food and wine is seamless.
Janet is both partner and catering coordinator as well as the perfect complement to Gil’s skills having worked in many well-respected establishments across Canada. Janet takes a personal approach collaborating with clients to create events that are customized to taste and style. From the moment your guests arrive, Janet’s warmth and keen sense sets the tone for a perfect event.
